Kristen Irvin supports New Entry as our National Technical Assistance Coordinator. She provides support for applicants and grantees of the USDA NIFA Community Food Projects grant program and also manages the organizing of New Entry's Community Food Systems Conference. Prior to working with New Entry, Kristen held positions in the Southeastern MA region's agricultural community as a Program Coordinator for the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership, Coordinator of the Southeastern MA Food Security Network, and and served as a founding Board member of The Livestock Institute of Southern New England. Kristen has additional experience that includes working on small farms, serving and cooking in restaurants, supporting executives at a career management consulting firm, researching grants for a development consultant, and proofreading and editing. She earned a Masters in Agriculture, Food & Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a BA in International Studies from Elon University.
