New Entry Farmers are in the market

Tuesday, June 11, 2019 // A Community-Wide Effort

The farmers markets are open again, creating for the average consumer a living portal to the lands their sustenance comes from. It’s also a great reminder to communities of the many local farms and food producers around them. Visit your nearest farmers market to take that opportunity to eat well and to get to know your farmers.

This year New Entry will be at four different farmer’s markets to provide our incubator farmers and graduates new opportunities to learn direct marketing skills while providing communities around Boston access to fresh, locally grown food.  Farmers in New Entry’s incubator at Moraine Farm learn not only soil management and crop production, but also the business and marketing elements that round out a successful farm operation.

Farmers markets, along with CSAs and restaurants are the primary markets for a beginner farmers. New Entry helps farmers build direct marketing skills through one-on-one technical assistance, workshops, online courses, and now through our participation at these local farmer’s markets.

Here’s a list of this season’s farmers markets where you’ll find someone from New Entry. Make sure to stop by and say hello!
